“Prophets are like lighthouses in a storm,
guiding people to peace and salvation.”
    -Yahya Emerick

In today’s era, we do not realize the struggle our beloved prophets went through to provide us with this sacred message. The tremendous journeys they embarked upon for us to be Muslims. The immense level of patience that Yusuf (Peace be upon him) demonstrated at such a difficult time. A time when his brothers were so jealous of him, they wanted him dead! This was a time when he, the Prophet of Allah, was being traded off as a slave in Egypt. Then there was Musa (Peace be upon him). The extreme level of perseverance and courage he modeled throughout Pharoah’s persecution. The level of determination and willpower that he had was like no other. Then, there came a man from the desert sands of Arabia, a man named Muhammad. The great mercy he displayed was truly a unique gift from Allah. At Taif, children threw stones at him until his shoes became drenched in blood! In return, what did he show? Only kindness and mercy. It’s time that we all ask ourselves, “How thankful am I that I am Muslim today?” It is an honor, that we as Muslims, have received this beautiful gift of Islam, through these beautiful Prophets.

Al-Madina Institute is pleased to announce its one of a kind seminar entitled, “Trials of the Messengers.” This will be an overview of the various trials that our noble prophets and messengers faced for us.

The seminar will be taught by our brilliant scholars, Shaykh Muhammad Bin Yahya Ninowy, Imam Mohamed Magid and Imam Zaid Shakir.

Shaykh Ninowy is a descendant of the Noble Prophet Muhammad who began his studies under his father, Sayyed Yahya. He has memorized the Glorious Qur’an and acquired knowledge in many of the Islamic disciplines, including Aqeedah, Fiqh, Hadith and Ihsaan.

Imam Magid was born in Sudan, son of a leading Islamic Scholar, who was a graduate from Al-Azhar University and a Mufti of Sudan. Imam Magid studied at the hand of notable scholars, gaining Ijaza in several disciplines which include Maliki Fiqh and the incomparable Ihya ‘Ulum Ad-Deen by Imam Ghazali.

Imam Zaid Shakir is a man whom we could not do justice to by describing him. He is amongst the most respected and influential Islamic scholars in the West. Imam Zaid has also studied from many well known and respected Islamic Institutes from around the world.

Shaykh Ninowy, Imam Magid and Zaid Shakir are all dynamic speakers that can easily connect with students to fulfill their thirst for knowledge.

Don’t miss the opportunity to be in the first ever class taught on “The Trials of the Messengers” in this region. Space is limited!
